New Media on The Internet
The final day of the Forum «Connect Universum Junior» started with the workshop. The topic of the workshop was interesting not only for future specialists in social communications, but also for all those who wish to communicate their ideas to the audience or submit a creative product. The workshop «The visual Component of Brands, People, Ideas, Corporations Presentation» was attended by the students of the Department of Social Communications. The workshop leader was the head of the TSU Department of Design, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Member of the Union of Artists of Russia, member of the Union of Designers of Russia Nikolai A. Dolgikh, CEO of communications agency (SC) «Motive» Evgeni Tomov and CEO of SC «Motive» Valentina Shpilevaya.
As part of his speech, Nikolai Dolgikh presented modern presentations of students, as well as the current «trends» in the field of electronic presentations.
Evgeni Tomov and Valentia Shpilevaya shared their experience in developing presentations of promotional products for real customers.
At the end of the workshop, there was a discussion of the effectiveness of visual communication, the need for creative component presentation, questions on trends in presentation programs and approaches to information visualization.

"Case-party": New Format of Communication

«Case-party» is a new event, which was organized for the students who study at the Social Communications Department. It took place in the studio of new media technologies last Thursday. Everybody knew that theme of action is «Fear and Hatred in the Internet» but the program of the party was a pleasant surprise for everyone.
When coming everyone got forfeits with images, later it helped organize students in teams for problem solving. There were presented some cases with different tasks connected with the problems of using new media for negativization of personal and corporative image on the Internet. The teams had 10 minutes for solving the problems and considering possible solutions. Then they presented these solutions to the audience, starting up new discussions. While the teams were solving tasks, some commercials were presented to the audience and the participants discussed every video. For the first-year students the event looked like a talk show, where everybody had the opportunity to speak out. However, the participants were not only having a good time, but also studying. For the first-year students this event was a kind of workshop given by the students, who are a step away from graduating and beginning their careers. For example, every first-year student could have a discussion with the third and fifth-year students.
Speaking about general impression of the event, everything was great! Everyone got interested, no one felt bored or tired. The support given by Snezhana Nosova was very important for the audience.
This event didn’t look like an ordinary TV show, everyone felt comfortable, and the participants left the studio with unforgettable impressions.

Communication as Architecture? Architecture of Communication?

It happened! The presentation of the outcomes of the international conference «Architecture and Social Media in Web Society» in Berlin took place on 20 November. The team of teachers and students, who, headed by Irina Kuzheleva-Sagan, had participated in the international conference, presented their reports and spoke about the results of the conference.
The audience listened to the lectures, which had been earlier presented to the European audience. The event took more than 4 hours. All those present noted the variety of topics, which our representatives presented at the Technical University of Berlin: the concepts of Web society, the cultural codes of Siberian cities, the prospects of the society development of «digital nomads» and «digital natives», the visual environment of the Internet space, etc.
The presentation aroused great interest. Students of the Faculty of Humanities of the Tomsk Polytechnic University, who study Advertising and Public Relations, and representatives of the Tomsk mass media also attended the presentation.

Финал недели "неформатного" обучения

Церемония закрытия студенческого Форума «Connect-Universum Junior» (ранее – «Дни PR и рекламы в ТГУ») состоялась 22 ноября 2013 года в Актовом зале Томского государственного университета. Ежегодно кафедра социальных коммуникаций ФП ТГУ выступает организатором ряда мероприятий, которые в течение нескольких дней объединяют в стенах университета будущих и настоящих профессионалов в сфере рекламы и связей с общественностью. Неделя Форума для студентов бакалавриата «Реклама и связи с общественностью» ТГУ прошла вне привычных учебных форматов (лекции, семинары). Ребята пробовали свои силы, выступая с докладом на студенческой конференции, приняли участие в мастер-классах томских практиков в сфере рекламы и PR, «отточили» свои профессиональные навыки в деловые играх, познакомились с потенциальными работодателями на площадках по производству рекламы и медиа-контента.

Заключительный день Форума «Connect Universum Junior» начался с мастер-класса, тематика которого интересна не только будущим специалистам по социальным коммуникациям, но и всем тем, кто хочет донести до аудитории свою идею или представить свой творческий продукт. Мастер-класс «Визуальная составляющая презентации брендов, персон, идей, корпораций и т.д.» посетили студенты всех курсов кафедры социальных коммуникаций ФП ТГУ. Ведущими мастер-класса стали заведующий кафедрой дизайна ИИК ТГУ, к. пед. н, доцент, член Союза художников РФ, член Союза дизайнеров РФ Николай Андреевич Долгих, Генеральный директор коммуникационного агентства (КА) «Мотив» Евгений Томов и Исполнительный директор КА «Мотив» Валентина Шпилевая.
В рамках своего выступления Николай Андреевич Долгих наглядно представил современные презентации студентов, а также возможности актуальных «трендов» в области создания электронных презентаций.
В свою очередь Евгений Томов и Валентина Шпилевая поделились своим опытом разработки презентаций для реальных заказчиков рекламных продуктов.
Мастер-класс завершился обсуждением проблем эффективности визуальных коммуникаций, необходимости креативной составляющей презентации, вопросами о тенденциях развития презентационных программ и подходов к визуализации информации.
