Скотт Каннингем поступил на факультет технологий, политики и управления Делфтского технического университета в 2004 году. До этого он работал в компьютерной и программной индустрии, создавал аналитические модели для коммерческих клиентов. Его работа над национальными инновационными индикаторами помогает формировать информационную политику для правительств США, Великобритании и Малайзии. Скотт Каннингем заинтересован в исследованиях операций и подходов к принятию решений в политике. В частности, Скотта Каннингема интересуют вероятностные модели социального обмена. Другие интересы включают в себя построение теории многосубъектных систем через экономическую социологию и инновационную политику. Недавняя публикация – Tech Mining (совместно с Аланом Портером) – книга по оценке новых технологических разработок.
